
Scott John Murray is an author based in New York. His short stories have appeared in Prairie Schooner, Chicago Quarterly Review, descant, and Chautauqua. He won descant‘s Gary Wilson Short Fiction Award and was shortlisted for New Letters’ annual Robert Day Award for Fiction.
His debut poems recently appeared in the April 2026 issue of In Parentheses.
Previously he studied math and philosophy at Bucknell University and spent a year in the General Course at the London School of Economics.
